CSDP (Common Security and Defence Policy) Missions have the responsibility to reduce their environmental and carbon footprint where possible and ensure the resources are used wisely.

In this regard, our Environmental Adviser, Marika from Finland, accompanied by the Press and Public Information unit visited a local association of artisans to explore options for recycling materials.

The association currently re-utilizes old calendars of EUCAP Sahel Mali to create new artworks and the possibility to expand the collaboration further was discussed.
