Building Local Capacity: EUCAP Somalia Strengthens Somali Trainers Through Training of Trainers Course

EUCAP Somalia conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) course from 30 August to 10 September, strengthening the capacity of Somali trainers to work effectively alongside EUCAP international police trainers and, in the future, deliver training independently.

The course focused on subjects from the Federal Darwish curriculum, while developing participants’ teaching skills and training methods. 

The 11 participants included five Somali Coast Guard officers and six Federal Darwish participants - four men and two women. 

Participants displayed great interest, skill and motivation, supporting the longer-term goal of strengthening local ownership of Federal Darwish training.
