EUCAP Somalia and its Partners deliver Joint Workshop on Investigation Management and Police Accountability

From 17–21 May, EUCAP Somalia and its counterparts delivered a joint workshop on Investigation Management and Police Accountability for 23 representatives from the Somali Police Force and the Attorney General’s Office, including five women. The training marked the first joint activity of its kind aimed at strengthening police–prosecutor cooperation.

The workshop covered criminal investigations, evidence handling, police accountability, human rights, cyber evidence, victim protection, and gender-sensitive approaches to justice. Participants actively engaged in discussions and shared practical experiences throughout the sessions.

Through this initiative, EUCAP Somalia continues to support stronger investigative capacity, accountability, and respect for human rights, contributing to improved access to justice and more effective cooperation between Somali law enforcement and prosecution authorities.
