EUCAP Somalia Head of Mission, Maria-Cristina Stepanescu visited the Mogadishu new port to observe works in progress in the Somali maritime domain during the third week of June.

Ms Stepanescu held meetings with the Commanding Officer of the Somali Maritime Police Unit and the Head of the Somali Navy/Coast Guard.

The EU NAVFOR Atalanta Liaison Officer stationed in Mogadishu accompanied Ms Stepanescu during the visit.
