EUCAP Somalia: Preparing the Next Generation of Federal Darwish Platoon Leaders

EUCAP Somalia conducted a Platoon Leaders Course from 30 August to 10 September, strengthening the Federal Darwish by preparing capable platoon leaders for the upcoming sixth cohort. 

The course covered leadership and management, gender, human rights, environmental matters and the legal framework, alongside conflict management, situational awareness, policing and anti-corruption.

The 10 participants - eight men and two women - also took part in tabletop leadership exercises and practical operational training. 

Throughout the course, participants demonstrated great interest, skill and motivation, further strengthening their readiness to lead future Federal Darwish personnel.
