EUCAP Somalia supports Swedish Police medical training to Somali government authorities and law enforcement officers

EUCAP Somalia supported a medical training course provided by the Swedish Police to selected staff members of Somali government authorities and law enforcement, including the Somali Police Force – Department of Coast Guard and the Somali Immigration and Citizenship Agency. 

Practical exercises and simulations on the MARCH protocol (Massive bleeding – Airways – Respiration – Circulation – Head/Hypothermia) was taught to the participants by the visiting Swedish Police Officers this week, under the watchful eye of the Mission’s Senior Medical Adviser and EUCAP seconded Police Trainers.

This professional collaboration and cooperation between law enforcement partners of EU Member States is an excellent example of how joint efforts can lead to saving lives.
