MARCO3 Leadership Course Strengthens Somalia’s Maritime Coordination and Safety

From 31 May to 03 June 2026, the MARCO3 (Maritime Cooperation, Coordination, and Communication) Leadership course was conducted in Mogadishu with the support of EUCAP Somalia and EUCRIMARIO.    

Nineteen participants, including four women, from Somali maritime institutions strengthened their skills in maritime coordination, Search and Rescue, vessel tracking systems, and IORIS platform operations, with a focus on inter-agency leadership coordination.

The activity contributed to improving Somalia’s maritime safety and inter-agency security coordination capabilities.
