Call for Proposals to award Grants to Non-State Actors: Strengthening non-state actors’ knowledge, research and innovation partnerships
This call will support collaboration among non-state actors, research institutions, academia, private sector and other stakeholders to strengthen knowledge generation, innovation, and mutual learning in support of Vietnam’s twin green and digital transition in line with the EU’s Global Gateway priorities.
Recognising the importance of data and evidence in informing effective action, the call will support initiatives that:
• Promote partnerships between civil society organisations, academia, research institutes, professional associations, social enterprises, business actors, and other relevant stakeholders;
• Support applied research, data collection, analysis and dissemination relevant to development priorities, including climate change, environmental sustainability, skills development, digital transformation, and socio-economic dynamics;
• Encourage innovation, testing and knowledge-sharing, including through pilot initiatives, joint learning platforms, innovation labs, and exchange mechanisms;
• Strengthen capacities for monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), evidence-based advocacy, and data-informed decision-making;
• Foster linkages between research, policy and practice, ensuring that knowledge and innovation contribute to more inclusive, sustainable, and effective development interventions.
These efforts are expected to improve the quality, relevance, inclusiveness and effectiveness of development interventions and the implementation of Global Gateway priorities in Vietnam.
