EUMA hosted Heads of Security and Health seminar
In her welcome speech, EUMA Head of Mission Satu Koivu said that the Mission was pleased to host an event where experts could share their knowledge and expertise in an open and collaborative environment.
“Heads of Security and Health play a vital role in supporting Mission leadership. In addition to physical and information security, their responsibilities also cover softer aspects of security, including organisational culture and working conditions,” she said. The Head of Mission also underlined the importance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), rehearsals and regular reminders in the work of Security and Health officers.
Participants discussed recent developments in mission security and health, as well as the challenges they face in their daily work. They also joined a patrol with monitors from EUMA’s Yeghegnadzor Field Office, gaining first-hand insight into the Mission’s activities on the ground.
