Austrian Defence Attaché visits EUMAM MOZ Headquarters

As part of his programme, Colonel Stocklauser also met with the Mission Force Commander of EUMAM MOZ, Commodore César Pires Correia. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the current challenges faced by the mission, as well as the evolving security environment in Mozambique.

During the engagement, both sides underlined the importance of sustained international cooperation to enhance national defence capabilities. They emphasised that close coordination between partners remains essential to strengthening regional security and stability.

The visit underscored Austria’s commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue with Mozambique and with EU missions operating in the region, reinforcing shared efforts towards peace, resilience and long-term security.
