This morning military personnel from EUMMAM MOZ and FADM came together to make a donation of children`s clothing and bed sheets. Besides the symbolic occasion to show solidarity to add even more hope to the lives of these children, this action was preceded by previous encounters with the institution where these needs were identified. The “Esperança” orphanage suffered a fire in 2022, resulting in significant material losses. This unfortunate event has further increased the material vulnerability of the children, who now face even greater challenges due to the destruction of essential items. The orphanage also serves as a temporary shelter for children that have their situation indefined, whether they are being transferred to other care centers or being reintegrated into their families and communities.
