EUMAM MOZ attends ceremony for donation of computer equipment to FADM
The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier-General Abel Zicai David, Director of the Department of Civic and Patriotic Education, and was attended by Brigadier-General Raul Matias, Coordinator of Cooperation in the Field of Defence, and Brigadier-General Luís Barroso, Commander of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ).
This act represents another significant step in the strategic collaboration between the institutions, which have been jointly developing various training and capacity-building programmes with the aim of strengthening the operational capabilities of the FADM, thus contributing to improving the sustainability of the QRFs trained to operate in a robust and autonomous Operational Cycle.
The equipment was transported by the Portuguese Navy, aboard the ship NRP Sines, and is intended to strengthen the FADM's Command and Control and Logistical Support structures.
This collaboration is a clear example of how international cooperation can contribute to the development of local capabilities, promoting peace and security in the region. The joint effort between the two countries reflects a shared commitment to operational excellence and the training of human resources to ensure continued progress in the areas of defence and security.
