EUMAM MOZ Attends the XXXI International Political-Strategic Seminar on Cybersecurity within the CPLP
In an increasingly digital and interconnected world, cybersecurity has become a central pillar for safeguarding the sovereignty of states.
In Mozambique, where digital transformation is advancing rapidly, cyber resilience is a strategic priority, essential for protecting critical infrastructure, public institutions and the security of citizens. The seminar highlighted not only the relevance of national preparedness but also the importance of regional and international cooperation in addressing emerging risks.
Promoted by the CPLP Centre for Strategic Analysis (CAE/CPLP), the event emphasised the need to reinforce synergies among defence forces across the Lusophone space, noting that collaboration is a decisive factor in countering complex and transnational cyber threats.
The seminar featured contributions from Colonel Luciano Martins Menna, Lourino Chemane and Commodore Hélder Fialho de Jesus, with moderation by Simão Joaquim Chinama. Their interventions provided strategic insights into the evolving cyber landscape and the vulnerabilities affecting national and regional security.
EUMAM MOZ’s presence at this seminar underscores the Mission’s ongoing commitment to engaging with Mozambican and international partners, contributing to informed debate on security challenges, and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening national and regional resilience against cyber threats.
