EUMAM MOZ conducts internal medical evacuation drill
The scenario simulated the situation of an EUMAM MOZ soldier who suddenly felt unwell, lost consciousness, and showed no effective breathing.
The exercise involved the ROLE 1 medical team, first responders, IQARUS personnel, Force Protection elements, and the EUMAM MOZ military personnel from education and training area. The exercise aimed to ensure the immediate activation of BLS-AED protocols, effective communication, and the rapid deployment of support assets, guaranteeing medical evacuation to ROLE 1 or ROLE 2 facilities within critical timelines.

Captain David Veríssimo, EUMAM MOZ JMED and responsible for the drill, underlined its importance:
“Exercises like this are fundamental to consolidating procedures and testing responses in realistic scenarios. The whole process went according to plan, with excellent coordination between teams and high professionalism from all participants. It is through such training that we ensure that, in a real situation, we are prepared to act swiftly and effectively.”
