Maputo, Mozambique — Following the recent change of command of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ), a high-level delegation visited Katembe Training Camp to learn more about the work carried out by the Mission in support of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).

The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into some of the activities conducted within the framework of cooperation between the European Union and Mozambique, through demonstrations, exercises and presentations of FADM capabilities.

During the visit, the guests were received by the Mission Commander, Lieutenant General Michiel van der Laan, and observed different training activities reflecting EUMAM MOZ’s work in the areas of mentoring and advisory support, operational planning, logistics and maintenance, specialised training for the Quick Reaction Forces, as well as support to FADM regeneration programmes and operational employment.
