EUMAM MOZ strengthens cooperation in the health sector

28.01.2026 EUMAM Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique - Yesterday, a cooperation agreement was signed between the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) and LENMED – Maputo Private Hospital, the largest hospital care network in South Africa, with a presence in Mozambique and several countries in the region.

This partnership aims to strengthen the mission’s medical support capabilities (Role 2), ensuring greater redundancy and responsiveness to EUMAM MOZ’ current operational requirements.

Cooperation with civilian institutions constitutes a key element in strengthening the Mission’s strategic partnerships, ensuring the operational health of its personnel. The provision of appropriate healthcare and an effective medical response contributes to EUMAM MOZ’ readiness, the protection of the contingent, and the continuity of activities on the ground.

Signed by representatives of EUMAM MOZ and LENMED, this partnership also aimed to discuss opportunities for future collaboration between the two institutions.
