Maputo — The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) received a two-day visit, on 27 and 28 October, from a delegation of the European Gendarmerie Force (EUROGENDFOR), which travelled to Mozambique as part of an assessment mission aimed at strengthening cooperation with European structures present in the country.

The delegation was composed of the EUROGENDFOR Commander, Colonel Pawel Grajek, the Head of the Operations Division, Lieutenant Colonel José Malo, and the Head of the Intelligence Division, Lieutenant Colonel Bruno Baraças. The main purpose of the visit was to identify opportunities for collaboration and to reinforce EUROGENDFOR’s contribution to European initiatives in Mozambique, particularly in the areas of security, institutional capacity building, and support to local security forces.
