Catembe, Mozambique – The closing ceremony of the Train-the-Trainers programme (pedagogic & methodologic) took place this Thursday, 1 August, in the Catembe region. The programme was conducted under the cooperation framework between the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM) and the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ).

Held from 21 July to 1 August, this specialised training aimed to develop the pedagogical skills of 19 Mozambican military personnel with responsibilities in training and instruction — including members of the Commandos and Marines — thereby enhancing the FADM’s ability to deliver upcoming courses under their national training plan.

Over the course of two weeks, trainees deepened both theoretical and practical knowledge in planning, delivering, and evaluating training sessions, with the goal of improving the effectiveness of military instructional processes. By the end of the programme, participants had acquired the necessary skills to identify all phases and modules of specific training plans and to independently plan and conduct future training activities.

The closing ceremony was attended by representatives from both the FADM and EUMAM MOZ, who commended the participants’ commitment and emphasised the strategic importance of such programmes in building a more capable, cohesive, and sustainable national force.
