The progress of the Women, Peace and Security project in the Defence sector, led by UN WOMEN and funded by the EU, was presented and discussed. The project aims to strengthen the integration of the gender and security agenda, particularly within the national defence context. 

During the meeting, various actions being taken to ensure women's participation in all areas of security and defence were highlighted, alongside efforts to promote a more inclusive and equitable approach. The initiative not only seeks to empower women in leadership roles within the sector but also to integrate their perspectives into defence policies.
