Sexual Education Lectures raise awareness among students at Josina Machel Secondary School
During the lectures, topics such as physical and emotional changes during adolescence, the importance of personal hygiene, the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, early pregnancy, and conscious and responsible decision-making were addressed.
The approximately 250 students who attended the lectures also had the opportunity to clarify doubts and ask questions in an open and relaxed dialogue environment.
The activity is part of a cycle of lectures that will take place over the coming weeks, organised by EUMAM MOZ in coordination with the HELPO Association. The initiative sought to reinforce the importance of accurate information as a fundamental tool for protecting young people’s health and well-being, promoting the adoption of healthy habits and mutual respect.
European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique, 2026
The lecture took place in a context in which promoting the health and well-being of young people is becoming increasingly important in the promotion of and respect for International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law and Women, Peace and Security agenda.
With this initiative, EUMAM MOZ reinforces that its mission goes far beyond the operational sphere, reflecting an ongoing commitment to proximity, support and cooperation with the community and with the future of Mozambique.
