Maputo, Mozambique – The operational training of the Forward Air Controllers (FAC) of the Mozambican Tactical Air Control Party (TACP MOZ) entered the live control phase, marking a decisive step in consolidating the skills acquired throughout the training process under the supervision of the European Union Military Assistance Mission Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ).

During this phase, the CAA conducted controls in different tactical scenarios, simulating operational conditions similar to those found in the Cabo Delgado Theatre of Operations. Activities focused on air-ground integration, target acquisition, and airspace management in a complex operational environment.

The training aims to strengthen rapid response capability, improve coordination between ground forces and air assets, and enhance decision-making in high-threat scenarios.

This stage represents the transition from training to operational battlefield preparation, contributing to stronger interoperability between air and ground assets and increasing the operational readiness of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).

EUMAM MOZ remains committed to supporting the entire process through mentoring and supervision activities, contributing to the continuous strengthening of the capabilities of the FADM.

These activities demonstrate the commitment of the European Union and Mozambique to strengthening local capabilities, promoting security, stability, and operational effectiveness.
