Tactics, Techniques and Procedures put to test in Train-the-Trainers Programme

Catembe, Mozambique – During these days, at the Catembe Training Camp, the Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) elements are going through intense practice of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP`s).  

With support from the mentoring group of the European Union Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) the military personnel of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces tested their skills on TTP`s developing on how to move in conflict areas, how to react to the enemy and how to keep safe till the operational logistics and communications.

Inside the work areas in TTP`s it was focused on the: movement formations; convoy operations; reaction to enemy contact; security on the move; maintenance and preparation of procedures; coordination of command and control. The exercises allowed the QRF elements to know how to avoid dangerous improvisations, reduce the risk of casualties, ensure discipline and coordination and provide flexibility, factors that are crucial to success in real life conflict situations.

EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026. It supports the FADM with the objective of strengthening the sustainability of Mozambique´s QRF, embedding them within a robust and autonomous operational cycle.
