EUNAVFOR ASPIDES: France’s contribution to the Operation

On Oct 10, Op. Commander Rear Admiral Vasileios Gryparis (HN) met in Paris Brigadier General (FR) Patrice Morand and Rear Admiral (FR) Ludovic Poitou, from the French Ministry of Armed Forces. Rear Admiral Vasileios Gryparis briefed his counterparts on EUNAVFOR ASPIDES’ ongoing Operation, highlighting France’s significant contribution to the Operation.

Rear Admiral Vasileios Gryparis also met Catherine Calothy, from the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. A meeting with the French shipping industry and the General Delegate of Armateurs de France, Laurent Martens, provided the opportunity to share information and discuss best practices on freedom of navigation and maritime security.
