EUTM-MOZ mid to long-term planning: J5 Plans Role

The EUTM MOZ J5 cell is the focal point for the development and revision of the Mission framing documents, such as the Mission Plan and Mission Order. The main effort also passes through ensuring the staff-wide coordination and integration of mid and long-term planning activities, operations, and training.
Being responsible for producing doctrine, studies, plans, staff orders, reports and briefings internally or externally, J5 cell normally leads the planning and coordination efforts of all Mission visits. As double hatted position of Operational Planning Cycle Trainer, J5 cell developed the proposal for implementing the Administrative Commands Elements in the FADM structure, in order to manage the operational cycle of their Quick Reaction Forces.
Besides the normal role, J5 cell contributed to the planning and execution of the joint exercise “GAMBA 23” as the main event and incident list manager, being able to add value to the exercise control, transmitting a clear picture to FADM of how an exercise should be planned and conducted.
At the moment one of EUTM MOZ J5 cell concerns is to contribute to the Strategic Review Process led by the Military Planning Conduct Capability (MPCC), to determine the future of the Mission, and also to deliver the Six-Monthly Report regarding the strategic Mission assessment.
