The project “Developing green interlocking compressed stabilized earth bricks (CSEB) for eco-friendly housing” promotes low-carbon, affordable housing aligned with Vietnam’s net-zero 2050 goal. Using local soil and agricultural by-products, it replaces fired bricks, cutting CO₂ emissions and costs while supporting rural and ethnic communities.

Built on EU–Vietnam collaborations (CAMaRSEC, ReBuMat, Green CEB), the project advances circular, durable, and repairable housing: energy- and water-efficient, storm-resistant, non-toxic, and thermally comfortable.

It empowers locals to self-build, preserves cultural architecture, and contributes to SDGs 1, 11, 13 and Decision 539/QD-TTg (2024)—a model of sustainable, community-based construction for a low-carbon Vietnam.
