Greeny Card, launched in 2023 by UPGREEN Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, addresses two challenges: paper business card waste and low-value plastic pollution. Using RePlastic™ heat-pressing technology, the project transforms mixed plastics like multilayer packaging and fishing nets into durable sheets for smart business cards.

Each card blends recycled material, NFC technology, and Vietnamese cultural heritage — hand-finished with traditional lacquer and adorned with Đông Sơn motifs such as the Lạc bird and sun, inlaid or engraved in silver or gold.

Beyond reducing plastic and paper waste, Greeny Card creates jobs for waste collectors and lacquer artisans, aligning with CSR and ESG goals. As UPGREEN’s flagship innovation, it serves as a gateway to a Recycled Tech Accessories ecosystem, aiming to expand to ASEAN, EU, and Japan, showcasing sustainable Vietnamese craftsmanship.
