Specialization of workforce and mass production has forever changed our relationship with the world of objects. A disconnection has surfaced: between the material and its production, between the designers and their designs, and ultimately, between consumers and the products they live with. /mài/ lamp emerges from the acknowledgement that products cannot be separated from their contexts, namely their environment, materials, consumers, and designers. /mài/ strives to be an intermediary whose practice reattaches these disjunctions through our approach to design and communication practice throughout the production process.
