EVSDA 2025 – ‘ARCHITECTURE’ SHORTLIST – MAISON TT (NGHIA-ARCHITECT)

Maison TT is a three-generation family home that harmonizes the traditional lifestyle of the elders with the modern style of the younger generation. The house is organized with a radial structure, taking the inner courtyard as the core that connects people with nature, inspired by Japanese origami art and traditional Da Nang architecture. 

Building volumes revolve around the kitchen and dining area - the central shared space - closely connecting to the landscape. Materials are selected with sustainability in mind, combining concrete, natural wood, and recycled wood from old boats, reflecting a green and sustainable living philosophy.

Maison TT is conceived as a fusion of tradition and modernity, honoring cultural memory while adapting to contemporary lifestyles and the harsh coastal climate of Central Vietnam.
