EVSDA 2025 – ‘COMMUNICATION DESIGN’ SHORTLIST – HOME PROTECT (NGUYỄN DUY TUẤN PHƯƠNG)

*

The Home Protect project was developed in 2024 in Vietnam, against the backdrop of rapid urbanization, which has significantly increased the risk of fires in apartment complexes. The project approaches communication through both print and digital media to ensure accessibility and sustainability. In print, publications are produced on sustainably sourced paper with non-toxic inks, using minimalist designs to reduce waste during production and distribution. In digital media, content is optimized for size and display, making it easy to deploy on elevator screens, apartment lobbies, or online platforms. This combined approach not only reduces excessive printing but also amplifies the message, helping minimize environmental impact while maintaining communication effectiveness.

The project’s content is designed to encourage responsible actions within the community and towards the environment, specifically raising awareness of fire prevention and safety—an essential aspect of protecting safety and sustainability in urban life. Information is compiled and presented based on authoritative sources on fire safety, ensuring accuracy and transparency. With Information Design at its core, all content is organized and visualized clearly and intuitively, allowing residents to quickly access, remember, and apply the information in practice, creating a positive social impact aligned with sustainable development goals.
