EVSDA 2025 – ‘ARCHITECTURE’ SHORTLIST – LAM VILLA (PHẠM TUẤN ANH & GS TEAM)

*

LAM VILLA is a sustainable mountain residence in Northern Vietnam that harmonizes architecture, ecology, and culture. Shaped by the land, its L-form embraces a courtyard that moderates climate and fosters connection. Built from local stone, timber, and bamboo, the villa minimizes carbon impact while supporting regional craftsmanship. Passive design ensures comfort through natural ventilation, shading, and daylighting, complemented by solar panels and rainwater reuse. Flexible spaces promote accessibility and longevity, adapting to changing needs. Beyond a home, LAM VILLA serves as a model for resilient, low-energy living that honors tradition and enriches both people and the environment.
