EVSDA 2025 – ‘COMMUNICATION DESIGN’ SHORTLIST – TAM THỦY TỤ (SPACE X)

“Tam Thủy Tụ” (“Confluence of Three Rivers”) is a site-specific art installation created for the central space of the Sun Urban City Hà Nam Sales Office, reinterpreting the concept of three rivers converging through the lens of contemporary art.

The work harmoniously blends Hà Nam’s traditional culture with the Mondrian-inspired architectural style characteristic of Sun Urban City. At its center lies a traditional bamboo boat, radiating thousands of bamboo strips dyed in shades of pink, orange, and blue, symbolizing the vibrant and interwoven flow of the three rivers.

Crafted from local bamboo, Vietnamese silk, wooden frames, and recycled materials, the installation achieves both softness and structural strength. It also incorporates motifs of the Đọi Tam bronze drum, lotus flowers, and the Tịch Điền festival spirit, celebrating Hà Nam’s rich heritage while bridging the past and the present.

Rooted in sustainable design, the project utilizes natural, biodegradable materials and local craftsmanship, reducing carbon emissions and fostering community value.
