Visit of European Student Think Tank

On 21 October 2016, Ambassador Didier Lenoir, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the International Organisations in Vienna, welcomed members of the European Student Think Tank Austria for a discussion on the European Union's Common Security and Defence Policy. Ambassador Lenoir outlined the history of political cooperation in the EU, the creation of the European External Action Service (EEAS) following the Lisbon treaty and the role of the EU Delegation in Vienna. He also highlighted the challenges of multilateral diplomacy.
Thereafter, Andrea De Bono Sant Cassia, Policy Officer within the OSCE Section of the EU Delegation, elaborated on the EU's participation in the OSCE.
