EU election observation mission to Tanzania in 2000

General elections were held in Tanzania on 29 October 2000, with 16 constituencies in Zanzibar voting again on 5 November due to problems with distributing election material.

The observers were deployed throughout the country. They met government and electoral officials, candidates and political parties, civil society representatives and the media.
