The handbook aims at students of the European Security and Defence College, but high-ranking officials also read the handbook with great interest. 'The present handbook already serves as a reference document for the present and future experts on the common security and defence policy', concluded the editor-in-chief of the publication, Jochen Rehrl. Due to the high demand, a reprint of about 2000 copies had to be ordered by the Austrian Armed Forces Printing Centre in Vienna.
