The 3rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) workshop on Preventive Diplomacy, Mediation and Early Warning System took place in Yangon Myanmar from 19-21 June 2017, co-chaired by the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the European Union (EU) and the United-States.

The 19 June session was dedicated to the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (AIPR) with a clause caucus meeting of AIPR Governing Council and Advisory Board, followed by a joint informal session with ARF partners to share best practices in Preventive Diplomacy, Mediation and Early Warning System as well as AIPR’s future role and responsibilities in ASEAN’s led mechanisms. 

On the 20 and 21 June 2017, senior officials, experts and ARF partners’ representatives shared their views and best practices on Preventive Diplomacy, Mediation and the role Early Warning and Early Response in conflict prevention.
