Official Opening of Arab Health 2018 Showcasing Europe’s Most Innovative Healthcare SMEs

Arab Health 2018 officially opened this morning with the visit of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance and Industry of the UAE to the first ever European Pavilion at the trade fair.
The 2018 edition of Arab Health is expected to welcome more than 4,200 exhibiting companies and 103,000 attendees from 150+ countries, including over 1000 European exhibitors. The EU pavilion will showcase examples of how small and medium-sized companies are driving innovation in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors throughout Europe.
The European Union (EU) Pavilion at Arab Health was inaugurated by Mrs. Taina Sateri, Trade Conselor at the European Union Delegation to the UAE and Mrs. Anna Bulzacka Bogucka, representative of the Executive Agency for SMEs (European Commission). The European Pavilion hosts 15 cutting-edge European healthcare innovators brought to Arab Health under the EIC SME Instrument – Overseas Trade Fair (OTF) Programme, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020.

Visitors are welcome to attend product launches and live demonstrations, and to join discussions with the companies on the European Pavilion (Za’Abeel 1 - Z1.A50 & B50). Business meetings can also be scheduled by contacting the OTF team directly at overseastradefairs@sme-instrument.otfs.eu.
Throughout the Overseas Trade Fairs programme’s first yearly cycle, an exclusive group of 86 European companies have participated, and held more than 1000 business meetings with selected counterparts at 7 major trade fairs around the world.
