Message from the Ambassador
The inauguration of our Delegation in 2019 as the third EU Diplomatic mission in the Gulf reflects the importance of this region for the European Union. At the same time, the decision to have a Delegation here was driven by the strategic objective to deepen our links with partners across the Globe. The European External Action Service, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2021, acts as the interface between Europe and the wider world.
Our purpose is to nurture and further enhance the multidimensional relationships between the European Union and Kuwait and, respectively, Qatar – to which I am accredited as non-resident Ambassador. We are determined to build bridges between our societies, foster the values and principles of democracy, and promote peace and stability in the region.
