Description:      

The EU-funded project is a component of a wider EU Program for Public Administration and Local Government Reform in Egypt.

Objectives:

• The overall objective of the project is to support Egypt in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, accountability and transparency of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) through Public Finance reforms (PFM).

• The specific objectives of the project are to:

  • Support the development and implementation of a strategic PFM Reform Plan.

  • Provide support in the implementation of the PFM Reform Plan in the areas of budget preparation, budget execution, accounting and treasury management.

  • Support the design, development and implementation of IT support systems for budget preparation, budget execution, accounting and treasury management, in particular the Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS).
