CALL FOR PROPOSALS - "Facilitating region-specific approaches to addressing climate and environment-related risks for socio-economic stability" in Central Asia
The Scientific Information Center of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination in Central Asia (SIC ICWC), with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and funding from the European Union (EU), is implementing the Project "Facilitating region-specific approaches to addressing climate and environment-related risks for socio-economic stability" in Central Asia.
The Project aims to strengthen the capacity of local stakeholders to identify environment and climate-related risks for socioeconomic stability at the community levels, and to programme effective risk reduction and response measures. In particular, the Project aims to equip and empower local communities in the Ferghana Valley, covering Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as to increase engagement with a wider range of stakeholders to scale up actions to address climate-related risks. The Project also aims to unite local communities in the target countries into regional networks of practitioners. To apply - http://sic.icwc-aral.uz/tender4.htm
