European Union Restaurants Week Launches in Seoul: A Flavourful Celebration of Europe’s Culinary Excellence

The European Union is proud to present European Union Restaurants Week, a culinary celebration taking place from 11 to 24 July 2025 in 18 restaurants, bistros, and cafés across Seoul. Part of the ongoing Colours by Europe. Tastes of Excellence. campaign, the event invites diners to savour the remarkable diversity and quality of European food and drink, brought to life in specially curated menus and dishes.
From fine dining establishments to charming local cafés, Restaurants Week offers a unique opportunity to discover the ingredients, heritage, and craftsmanship behind Europe’s most iconic culinary exports. Across the participating venues, chefs will create signature dishes using premium European ingredients - from artisanal cheeses and cured meats to fruity olive oils, decadent chocolates, and world-class wines.
“European Union Restaurants Week is a celebration of the rich diversity, quality, and heritage of European food and drink. Through this event, we invite Korean consumers to discover not only the exceptional taste of our products, but also the traditions and values that make them truly unique,” said H.E. Maria Castillo-Fernandez, Ambassador of the EU to the ROK.
A Journey Through Europe, One Bite at a Time
Diners can expect an elevated experience at top restaurants including Mater, Perigee, Bistrot de Yountville, Original Numbers, Harris, and Vinho, where sophisticated tasting menus will be expertly paired with selected European wines.
Those seeking a more relaxed setting can explore Seoul’s trendiest bistros such as Ardor, Borgo Hannam, Cesta, Veggie Weekend and Mutin, each offering creative and accessible dishes that celebrate the richness of European ingredients.
And for dessert lovers, venues like Sona, Balance Pâtisserie, Adde, Jaein, Bar Jangsaeng, and Soko will delight with pastries and sweets showcasing the excellence of European dairy and chocolates.
From the Restaurant to Your Kitchen
Restaurants Week also brings the experience home with a series of cooking classes led by chefs from participating restaurants. These fun and hands-on sessions will teach registered participants how to recreate simplified versions of featured dishes using authentic European products available in Korea. It’s an ideal way to explore new culinary skills while enjoying the taste of Europe from the comfort of home.
Celebrating Europe’s Commitment to Quality
This campaign shines a spotlight on the EU’s renowned food quality standards and product labels, including the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), which guarantee provenance and traditional production methods. The EU Organic logo is also featured, highlighting products that meet strict environmental and animal welfare standards.
