Strength through Unity: How the EU Keeps Maritime Security Coordinated

Mutual support, coordination, and operational effectiveness remain the hallmarks of the EU CSDP Maritime Operations: EUNAVFOR ASPIDES, EUNAVFOR ATALANTA, and EUNAVFOR MED IRINI.

In today’s complex security environment, vigilance and convergence of effort are more important than ever. This morning, the three Operational Commanders, the Deputy Chair, and I met to discuss the latest developments in the region.

Following the meeting, the Operational Commanders briefed the Political and Security Committee. This ensures that the EU maintains a coordinated approach from the operational-tactical level to the political-strategic level.
