EEAS Global Social Media Policy

How the EEAS uses social media

The European External Action Service (EEAS) communicates its work and priorities through a range of widely used social media platforms.

We invite you to follow our accounts, engage with and  share our content within your networks. You can access the EEAS, EU Delegations and affiliated accounts here.

Social media moderation policy

The EEAS values open and respectful dialogue. We welcome diverse perspectives and encourage people to discuss EU foreign policy topics across our platforms.

Our aim is to maintain a safe, inclusive, and constructive space for exchange. To ensure a constructive environment, we ask users to:

  • Engage respectfully and avoid offensive, inflammatory, or inappropriate language
  • Refrain from content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or intolerance, including on the basis of religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation
  • Avoid any incitement to violence
  • Ensure contributions are relevant and respectful
  • Avoid posting spam or content containing suspicious or misleading links
  • Refrain from sharing disinformation or content that may cause harm

Comments that do not comply with these principles may be removed. Repeated breaches may result in restricted access to our channels.

Please for any related social media questions, specifically to the social media moderation policy, contact us here.
