Implementing the reform agenda

Police reform forms an integral part of Ukraine’s broader strategic path towards European integration. He emphasised that the NPU plays a pivotal role and noted that the strong and visible leadership of the Head of the NPU will be critical to sustaining momentum and driving reforms forward.

Key role for EUAM Ukraine

The Head of the NPU underlined his commitment to implementing the reforms required for Ukraine’s EU integration and expressed his appreciation for EUAM Ukraine’s continued on-the-ground support in advancing reform efforts and strengthening NPU’s operational capacity to respond to war-related challenges. EU Advisory Mission in Ukraine has maintained a long-standing and close partnership with the National Police of Ukraine. Together with the European Commission and Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, EUAM will continue to support the leadership of the NPU in implementing the reforms necessary to fulfil Ukraine’s commitments under the EU accession framework and the modernisation of the police service.
