Congratulations to Ms Frei Sangil, a well-known civic technologies advocate!

Frei's Legazpi-based project "Balangay: A Cloud Information System for Disaster" is among the six winners of the civictech4democracy.eu competition designed and managed for the European Commission's International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO).

Frei, together with other winners, is due to travel to Brussels and present their project at the #Civictech4democracy Showcase event on 17 September. Balangay aims to promote community collaboration by empowering vulnerable communities with life-saving disaster information and fast connection to disaster authorities using an information system updateable by local disaster authorities, stakeholders, and public users.
