The SUPA supports the implementation of the ASEAN Programme on Sustainable Management of Peatland Ecosystems 2014–2020 (APSMPE) with the objective of promoting the sustainable management of peatlands in the ASEAN region through collective actions and to enhance cooperation to support and sustain local livelihoods.
The Financing Agreement on SUPA was signed on 27 December 2016.
SUPA has 2 components:
- Component 1: Peatland Governance
- Component 2: Non-State Actors (NSA) Participation
