On April 12, 2011 in the village of Tavaksai in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, museum of mountain climbing named after the founder of mountain sports was opened in the region of Vladimir Ratsak.
Vladimir Ratsek, an ethnic Czech, was the organizer and leader of climbing expeditions in the 30-70s of the last century in the mountains of Central Asia. Repeatedly chairman of the Mountaineering Federation of Uzbekistan, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, he made an invaluable contribution to the development of this sport in the entire region. It was Vladimir Ratsek who organized the first sports ascent to the nearest mountain peak of Tashkent Bolshoi Chimgan (3277 m above sea level).
