The European Union and its Member States remain steadfast in their political, financial, and military support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity - Ukraine’s and Europe’s security are indivisible. Through the new Ukraine Support Loan, the EU is providing a €90 billion lifeline of support, where it is needed most.

From 19-21 January 2026, International IDEA, through the EU-funded INTER PARES programme,partnered with the National Assembly of Botswana to host a roundtable promoting stronger parliamentary leadership on human-wildlife coexistence.

The EU Delegation to Botswana and SADC welcomed local journalists and media representatives to a training on Fact Checking and Verification, which was organised by the Delegation PPI team together with Africa Check on 12 November.
