The European Union Advisory Mission provides strategic advice to the Central African authorities to support the reform of the country's security sector. Like the people in the Central African Republic, the EU wishes to see peace, security and stability in the country. For this to happen, state authority must be extended throughout the country in accordance with rule of law and human rights principles as well as on the basis of a democratically elected government; the EU Advisory Mission supports this objective.
