About the Ambassador-Designate

Ambassador Aivo Orav is an Estonian diplomat with over 30 years of national and European Union experience in diplomacy and international affairs. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as the Permanent Representative of Estonia to the EU and led EU Delegations in Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. Having previously served as Estonia's Ambassador residing in Ankara between 2008 and 2012, he returned to the city in 2026 to take office as the Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye.
