Who we are
Our work in Uganda is closely coordinated with our Member States particularly those having an Embassy or office in Uganda. The EU Delegation assumes the local Presidency of the European Union in Uganda. It means that we are tasked with speaking on behalf of the EU in Uganda, reflecting common EU positions and spearheading EU values such as Human Rights, Governance and Democracy.
Our Delegation
The European External Action Service (EEAS)
The European External Action Service (EEAS) is the European Union’s diplomatic service. It assists the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission (HR/VP) to fully carry out the mandate of the Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. The EU Delegation plays a supportive role, including on diplomatic and consular protection of the Union's citizens in Uganda.
